Find a Healthcare Provider

When you have Medicare Parts A and B, you're automatically covered by TRICARE For Life. You may visit any Medicare authorized provider. Search the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Medicare Participating Provider Directory. This directory contains names, addresses, phone numbers, specialties, and other important information for Medicare participating physicians who have agreed to accept assignment on all Medicare claims and covered services. Assignment only works with the original Medicare plan. It does not apply if you are in a Medicare managed care plan or Private Fee-For-Service plan.

You can also get care at military hospitals and clinics, but only on a space-available basis. Click this link to Find a Military Hospital or Clinic

For the TRICARE program, you can contact the two Prime Contractors; Healthnet Federal Services or Humana Military for a complete list of TRICARE Network Providers.

  • Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Hospital Compare Tool- Provides you with information on how well the hospitals in your area care for adult patients with certain medical conditions like heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia. This information will help you compare the quality of care hospitals provide. This comparison tool was created through the efforts of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, organizations representing hospitals, doctors, and employers, accrediting organizations, other federal agencies, and the public.
  • Leapfrog- works to educate providers and consumers about patient safety. You can search for hospitals in a given area and compare rating information based on four different quality and safety measures. You will find a collection of health care quality performance measures that enable you to compare physician groups, hospitals and health plans by a variety of topics (e.g., critical care, heart care, etc.), and also within geographical regions.
